The 6-Step Process to Building the Fiber Neighborhood
JCE Co-op Fiber is rolling out our fiber-to-the-premise internet service. That means you and your neighbors can team up to get your neighborhood or communities to the top of our interest list. While we wish we could be able to provide service to every home as soon as they are ready to sign-up for our fiber-optic network, building out a fiber neighborhood and connecting to each location. Here is a look into our 6-step process to building a fiber neighborhood.

The Interest phase helps us determine where to build next. Complete the simple interest form at forms.jcecoop.com/fiber. Also, encourage your neighbors to show their interest. Once enough interest has been expressed, JCE Co-op will begin the initial design and determine the number of sign-ups required.
Sign-Up
Sign-Up
Congratulations! Enough members in your neighborhood are interested in fiber so we can complete the initial engineering design. The required number of sign-ups are announced on our website. Members can select their fiber internet package to sign-up for service. No contracts required!
Pre-Construction
Pre-Construction
Our construction crews will complete the make-ready work to prepare existing power poles (or underground) for fiber construction. Material is ordered and estimated construction dates are announced, dependent on weather and other factors.

Construction
There are multiple components to this process. This includes mainline fiber placement (aerial and underground) and a smaller dedicated drop fiber that connects to a NID box on your house. After this is complete, our splicing teams will fusion splice all fiber connections and verify through tests.
