Jo-Carroll Energy is a member of JULIE. (Joint Utility Locating Information for Excavators, Inc.) JULIE is a non-profit corporation that provides homeowners, contractors, etc. with a free service by calling a toll-free number 1.800.892.0123 or 811 to locate our underground facilities.

Illinois law requires anyone digging, regardless of the depth of the project, to call JULIE. This notice must be made at least 48 hours/two working days prior to the start of excavation, and the project must begin within 14 calendar days from the call. The person physically doing the digging, whether it is yourself or a contractor, must make the JULIE call.

When you call, be prepared to provide, at the least, the following information:

• Your name, address, and phone number.
• City, county and/or unincorporated area of township.
• Location information where the excavation/demolition will take place.
• Start date and time of planned excavation/demolition
• The type and size of area, and work involved.

Be safe: Call JULIE and they will notify us, and we will come to the specified location to locate our underground utility facilities.
