The mission of Jo-Carroll Energy is to act in the best interest of its members by delivering energy and other innovative, diversified products and services to members and customers, consistent with sound business practices, while taking a leadership role in the growth of our community.
Jo-Carroll Energy was established by its member/owners to provide themselves with a vitally-needed service which would greatly improve their economic and social standards and well-being.
The cooperative was established for all its members and the benefits
from its existence should accrue to them consistently and on a
uniform basis.
The cooperative has obligations and responsibilities as a local
enterprise to the community, the public and our employees as well
as our members who should benefit from our existence.
To fulfill these obligations and to meet our responsibilities we shall at all times work toward the achievement of the following objectives:

To maintain the cooperative in its legal entity on a non-profit and continuing basis and in accordance with its adopted bylaws and all other legal and contractual requirements. |

To work for and support a program of natural resource development that includes development of an abundance of energy at a reasonable cost. |

To provide the best possible electric service to the members at the lowest possible costs consistent with sound business management. |

To maintain adequate financial reserves and
equities that will permit the cooperative to operate on a
continuing basis in a sound financial condition. |

To assist members in the wise and efficient
use of energy particularly electricity to achieve the lowest
possible energy costs and improved standards of living. |

To provide leadership and cooperate in projects and activities dedicated to betterment of the community state and nation with particular emphasis on youth programs and rural and community development |

To maintain a well-trained competent staff of interested employees and to establish policies which will stimulate their growth and development. |

To actively promote the understanding and acceptance
of the cooperative's ideals, objectives, and viewpoints by
the members, the employees, the community, the public, and
among related industries and enterprises. |
