Jo-Carroll Energy files lawsuit against IP&L to reduce wholesale power costs
Jo-Carroll Energy, Inc. filed a lawsuit againt Interstate Power & Light Company in U.S. district court July 19 to seek early termination of the wholesale power contract by which the cooperative has purchased power from IP&L since 2007.
Work to replace approximately 5,500 feet of natural gas lines in Erie is underway. The work is part of a project to replace the cooperative's one-inch steel mains with two-inch plastic pipe to enhance system reliability and promote expansion.
Jo-Carroll Energy is seeking bids for the installation of replacement water heater two-way load control receivers as part of a load managment pilot program. This program will replace outdated receivers.

Jo-Carroll Energy is hosting a series of "Straight Talk Member Forums" throughout its service area in June. Members are invited to join the cooperative for a discussion of the issues facing energy consumers.
